Alan Hazeldine Memorial Concert
To open the 2009/10 season, the Corinthian Chamber Orchestra will perform a memorial concert for their founding musical director Alan Hazeldine. Part proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Marie Curie Hospice, Hampstead.
The programme will begin with Hamish MacCunn's Land of the Mountain and the Flood, paying homage to Alan's Scottish roots, followed by Elgar's elegaic cello concerto, and concluding with Beethoven's 7th symphony, which Alan recorded with the orchestra in early 2007.
